Lettered Dispatches from Quebec Death of Wolfe
Last night Col John Hale and Capt James Douglas arrived from Quebec with letters to Pitt detailing the September 13 victory near Quebec. Gen Wolfe died of a wound after the French formed on the heights. Monckton Townshend reports the battle and Monckton’s wound.
