Visitors included Mrs P B Day of Trenton. Salad course with coffee and whipped cream served by the hostesses and assistants.

Four Negroes Held on Serious Charge in Johnston

Death of Rev. A. E. Cornish in Charleston
The Rev. A. E. Cornish died Tuesday night at an infirmary after a two week illness. He served as Episcopal rector in Charleston and Edgefield and was chaplain to the Church of the Redeemer and the Harriott Pinckney Home for Seamen. He leaves a widow, three daughters, and a son. funeral was held this morning at James Island Episcopal churchyard.
