Rishon W. W Duncan Names Panel To Probe Heresy Charges

At the North Georgia Conference meeting in Newman Georgia a committee was appointed to investigate charges of heresy against Rev. H. B. Bradley of Atlanta. The panel named by Bishop Duncan includes Dr. G. W. Byrd of Augusta Ga, Dr. Luke G. Johnson of Rome, and Rev. J. A. Sharp of Dahlonega.

Drug Stores Required to Take Federal Licenses After 1906

Washington special drug stores that sell tonic preparations advertised as medicines must obtain federal licenses as retail sellers after April 1 1906. The Commissioner of Internal Revenue ruled that such establishments face licensing and manufacturers must also secure licenses after January 1.

Fire devastates cotton warehouse in Augusta Virginia

A major blaze in Augusta Virginia destroyed or damaged about a thousand bales of cotton and damaged the warehouse where it was stored. The origin could not be explained as the section had not been opened for two days. The warehouse, owned by Nixon and Danforth, plus its contents, were insured. Loss estimated around 40000 dollars. Fire fighting efforts were underway with winter conditions reported. Separately a fire in Indianapolis damaged Badger Punitive Company stock and seven story buildings on Washington Street. The Columbia National Bank nearby suffered water damage as securities valued at six hundred thousand dollars were moved for safety.
