South Carolina WCTU Holds 39th Session in Newberry
The 39th convention of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union met in Newberry’s Central Methodist Church October 20 and 21 with about fifty delegates. Officials reported membership growth to around 1,100, heard health and child welfare talks, welcomed local leaders, and elected state officers and delegates to the Philadelphia World’s convention.
