Moody Announces Elkins Suit Against Car Line Links Pabst to Railroads
Attorney General Moody states a petition will be filed in the eastern district of Wisconsin to challenge private car transit arrangements linked to the Milwaukee Refrigerator Transit Company and several railroads. The suit targets commissions of about twelve percent paid on freight, reducing railroad revenues while the Pabst Brewing Company ships via private cars. Also noted, Dr. A C Wightman of Randolph-Macon College died in Ashland from paralysis due to acute indigestion.
