The Business League schedules a meeting for tomorrow at 7 30 in the evening. The issue notes the quarterly Supervisor report will appear next week and various local notices and ads appear throughout the page.

The Edgefield Hussars, forty strong and well uniformed, rode on fiery steeds under Captain N. G. Evane. They were inspected Saturday by Mr. Lewis Haskel, acting assistant adjutant and inspector general. The historic company, a county pride, compares favorably with any Kerley unit in the state. officers and men are commended for their exemplary appearance.
Judge J D Allen presided a special probate term Tuesday and Thursday to hear Emma Budwell's will contest. Lawyers of high caliber argued the case before many witnesses. Miss Ellamays Allen acted as stenographer, recording testimony swiftly. The court sustained the will, contestants appeal to the higher court awaiting final ruling on valuable estate.
The Robinson Carnival Co the largest travelling amusement aggregation in America travels on 16 cars with over 185 people and 50 animals for the Augusta Elks carnival November 17 22. The shows are high class educational and safe for families with guards on duty and trained attendants. Also notes local politics death of Hon Patrick J Sullivan and local ads on eye tests optics and Edgefield pineapples.
The caller touts the New Domestic winning a gold medal at the Pan American Exposition and offers a range of machines from cheapest to highest priced, inviting purchase.
Local chatter notes a possible oil mill in Trenton, with leaders confident the town can fund and manage such an enterprise. The project would be fifth mill within twelve miles of Johnston, signaling strong regional growth. Community leaders cite competent management and ample resources as key to success.
Mrs Emmie C Warren widow of S R Warren has filed a petition asking that a homestead be set off from the late S R Warren's property. Master W F Roath will rule on November 22, 1902, Edgefield County. Also notes local advertisement reads and subscription arrears appeal.
