Harmony to Host Children’s Day Exercises Next Sunday

Fire Alarm Spurs Townwide Watch Near Depot

About midnight Thursday an alarm woke residents as a fire burned the barn and outhouse of Allen Harris a colored man living near the depot. The dwelling was saved by the quick actions of the fire department. Mrs Rebecca Jones has returned to Edgefield and hopes to stay through summer. She seeks to teach an art embroidery class and has shown remarkable handwork.
