Income tax urged to fund war effort and aid the poor
In a forceful speech amid wartime strain, a speaker argues for an income tax as a fair source of war funding. He denounces opposition as favors for the wealthy and urges lawmakers to tax income regardless of constitutional doubts. The call emphasizes justice for the many who bear hardship and fight, and challenges peers to act boldly for national defense. The document also records a Sunday School convention agenda and related notices.
