Death of Miss M. Annie Whitlock at Mt. Zion church

Miss M Annie Whitlock born September 12 1870 died March 31 1906 of pneumonia aged 35 years 6 months 17 days. Baptized at Mt Zion Baptist by Rev W B Shaw she was a devout Abelian worker and long bedridden with rheumatism yet served God faithfully. Her family mourns with many friends, and she is remembered as Christ like and now crowned in glory.

Obituary and local notes from Cold Spring area

Mrs Bodie senior died here last Monday evening and was buried Tuesday afternoon. She was about seventy six, married fifty three years, joined the church young, and left a husband six children and many friends. Funeral conducted by Brother Littlejohn. Union meeting at Grove church drew a good crowd with speeches by Bro Lanham and Bro Littlejohn. Next junior to meet at Clark's church. Miss Janie Hughey closed her Plum Branch school. Visitors from Rehoboth and Rose Cottage, a pig from Dr Prescott, and Mr James Bodie buying a new horse. Char lie Halmes reported improving. Thomas Trayle visited Rose Cottage. Red Hill church pews varnished in preparation for May dedication. Democratic Club organized with J H Busery president.
