Mrs Elizabeth Hammond dies at 73 in Edgefield
Mrs Elizabeth Hammond widow of Maj Andrew J Hammond dies at the old Hammond homestead near Charles Hammond’s home on Friday morning from heart disease. Funeral was held Saturday at Sweetwater City with Rev J P Mealing officiating. She leaves three daughters Mrs J H P Roper Mrs Tom Hammond and Mrs John Mundy and two sons Charles and Edward. Her longtime friends and kindness noted with sympathy extended to the family.
