Earlier on March 12 Clifford Dorn of Augusta wed Rena Scott at the bride s Greenwood home with Rev George W Bussey officiating.

Dr. William Prescott Dies At Edgefield Home
Longtime Edgefield resident Dr. William E. Prescott died at his home ten miles west of Edgefield on Monday afternoon after a prolonged illness from stomach trouble. He was 66, a physician turned farmer, founder of the local oil mill, and a pillar of Red Hill church. He is survived by his second wife Julia King and six children from both marriages. Funeral services were held Tuesday at his home, with interment at Prescott square cemetery.
