Death of W Brooks Dunovant in Edgefield
Death occurred early Tuesday night after a week of illness. He lived nearly 63 years in Edgefield in the family home. Eldest son of Gen R G M Dunovant, kin to Col Preston Brooks and Capt J Hampden Brooks. A reserved but respected man and loyal friend. Funeral at four this afternoon with Rev EC Bailey officiating. Survived by two brothers W L and R L.

Death of Confederate veteran Lawrence Miller at 85
Mr. Lawrence Miller died Monday at 5 30 in his home with his son T E Miller at his side. In his 86th year he remained active and loyal to community life. A Confederate veteran, he joined his comrades on the other shore and will be recalled with praise. A Republican church member, his funeral was held Tuesday with many relatives and friends attending. He leaves daughter Mrs Lucy Talbert and four sons Mex sr T KJ L L G and W W Miller.
