Drowning of J W Herline at Rock Cliff
J W Herline Hen line, 65, of Spartanburg disappeared at Lawson's Fork Rock Cliff Sunday afternoon and is believed to have taken his own life. An employee of the Spartanburg mill he leaves a widow and seven children. His body was found by a boating party in shallow water.

Charles Harper a son of respectable parents, after multiple releases, stole his father's cow and carried it to Blacksburg where he sold it for 15 dollars.
