Busy peach season wraps up at Clark's Hill with shipments
Last week about three hundred crates of peaches were shipped and the final car left Meriwether Friday night. Many crates arrive around eleven, express agents busy with bills. Peach boys return home while locals note visitors from Augusta Harlem and Mooresville. Annual meeting opens Sunday with pastor Geo T Asbill and Dr Williams. Sunday school plans delegation to Parksville convention.

The Cleora farmers club will host its annual barbecue and picnic on Thursday August 10 with prominent speakers addressing farmers. Dinner costs fifty cents for men and boys over fourteen, while women and children attend free.
