The Orangeburg Patriot notes frustration over prolonged peace talks with Port Arthur and laments liquor sales. It cites Judge Aldrich on Heyward county elections, questions dispensary corruption, and highlights the Cotton Growers Association action exposing misused government data and reforms.
A Tillman letter urges residents to wait for next session to purge corruption and safeguard the dispensary system before voting. The writer argues relief is unlikely, personnel will repeat, and off year politics will taint the issue, so the liquor question should be settled separate from candidates and campaigns.

The remedy is sold by all druggists. Also: Mrs. J B Clotworthy offers boarders at Hillman Georgia health resort cottage this summer at 8 dollars per week, or 7 dollars for two people with free treatment and water.
An advertisement urges churches to request liberal quantities of Longman & Martinez L. M. paint. It claims 4 gallons L. M. plus 3 gallons linseed oil covers a house, asserts oil can be bought cheaper, and cites a Charleston West Virginia writer praising the paint’s varnish-like finish. It promotes mixing oil at 60 cents per gallon to reach about 1.20 dollars per gallon, sold by G Renn &.
A confirmed claim promises to cure itching bleeding protruding piles within six to fourteen days. First application provides relief. Cost is 50 cents. If not available locally, send 50 cents in stamps to Paris Medicine Co. St. Louis for postpaid delivery.
State of South Carolina Edgefield County issues a citation by Probate Judge J D Allen to heirs and creditors of Mrs Mary Elizabeth Bailey. They must appear July 20 at Edgefield Court of Probate to show cause why administration should not be granted. Published July 12 1905 in Edgefield Advertiser.
