Captain of the German bark Gesine, Speers Falk, born at Hamburg, was found dead by his own hand in the cabin at Pensacola Florida after the voyage from Hamburg. The ship had run aground and cargo was unloaded to refloat it. Despondent conditions are noted as the cause.
