Gone But Not Forgotten Pauline Watson Dies at 74 at Dry Creek

At seven oclock Saturday morning January 22 Mrs Pauline Howard Watson died aged nearly 75. She leaves eight children and many grandchildren and was buried at Dry Creek church cemetery beside her husband Calvin Watson a Confederate veteran. The family note her consecrated life and faith and say they hope to meet her beyond the sky.

Death of Joshua W. Harris in McRae Georgia

Kemp returned from McRae to report the death of his uncle Joshua W. Harris at his home in McRae on January 21. A Confederate veteran, Harris was born in the Kirksey area of Edgefield County and moved to Georgia fifteen years ago with his family. He was buried with Masonic rites and is survived by his wife a daughter and two sons. His sister in law was Miss Mattie Schenk, later Mrs. J N Schenk.
