Miss Mina Eidson died at her brother J. D. Eidson’s home after a stroke and prolonged illness. The funeral was at Bethlehem church with burial in the family plot alongside relatives. The piece notes her quiet Christian character and long illness.
The Red Oak Grove B Y P U led by Miss Mamie Bussey invited speakers Johnnie Bussey and T W Lamb for upcoming Flat Rock sessions. A Friday evening box party at Red Oak Grove schoolhouse on the 19th aims to raise funds for the school while providing entertainment.
The Music club presents Aladdin and his Wonderful Lamp at the Opera House for charity. Adults 35 cents, children 20 cents. A festive Christmas picture with magic and oriental settings aimed at delighting children and rejuvenating adults.

Revolution of Edgefield pledges $100 for a school fund and urges attendance at the luncheon to support literacy efforts in the state. Event runs December 22 23 24 at the Court House with proceeds to the cause.
The Christmas cantata will be sung Sunday evening at 5 30 in the Baptist church with choir from all churches and about twenty musicians. Mrs Mamie N Tillman trains the chorus and plays pipe organ. The program includes Joy to the World the Christmas Story and Bethlehem with solos by Mrs A B Carwile Miss Elizabeth Rains and Miss Miriam Norris among others.
The program features O Babe in Bethlehem s Manger and Lullaby with Miriam Norris Rosela Parker and Ruth Tompkins along with a full cantata chorus. A. B. Carwile W G Lee and others join the singers with Mrs Tillman at the organ as the church decorates for the event. The public is invited to attend.
Reverend George W Bussey asks The Edgefield Advertiser to change his newspaper address to Greenwood South Carolina 832 Edgefield Avenue after leaving four local churches across the river to return to his old state He will continue preaching at Red Oak Grove church but will have two Sundays for other duties He notes gratitude for kindness from supporters and says he cannot give up the old paper He states they go back this week
Mr. P. B. West and Mr. H. H. Williams have bought the mercantile business of Mr. W. T. Reel at Cleora and have taken charge of the store. They have also leased Reel's Cleora farm with one to supervise the farm and the other to run the store, creating a strong combined operation. The Advertiser predicts a successful business career for the new partners.
The Florida letter from Ft White and Plum Branch details Capt T W Getzin hosting, a 1200 acre up to date farm, corn yields of 18-25 bushels, peanuts 50-75, syrup 150 gallons, cotton potential 300 pounds per acre, boll weevil presence, hogs and cows as money crops, weekly hog shipments, corn and syrup prices, and land on the Itchtucknee river with clear springs.
A travelogue recounts a journey from Plum Branch to Florida with Captain Getzen at 83 still traveling. It notes hogs and corn yields from two farmers, a veteran from Columbus Ga, and visits to T. E. Cochran in Eustis with descriptions of orange groves and long lakes. They travel by star route and end in Lakeland after dining with Captain Getzen’s grandson.
