Education Week at the high school featured essays on the future citizen and the boy and girl of today. The 10th grade donated a ten-volume library gift while a pursuit for grammar errors added a playful lesson. Community notices include Rev. Foster’s sermon, Mrs. Broadwater’s death, and several local visits, travels, and church activities.
Sale of hand colored and engraved Christmas cards blotters and folders with pictures described as works of art opens at 10 oclock Friday 15th and runs through Saturday 16th at the home of Mrs Agatha A Woodson Proceeds go to the Daughters of the Confederacy Buy cards from the ladies in charge

A car of seed potatoes contracted in October is expected to arrive in Edgefield around December 22. Supplied by BE H Doyle of Caribou Maine, the batch has U S government grade inspection. Edgefield Produce Exchange will deliver to planters at 4 00 per sack with free storage until planting time paid by the Exchange. Cash on delivery.
A baby son was born to Mr and Mrs Frank Reese Saturday morning but died about noon the same day. Mr Reese had returned from Charleston Friday night to be with his family and resumed duties with the Express Company in Charleston Monday.
The family were stricken and the last to succumb thus far has been Uncle Billy Kinnaird the popular and capable judge of probate. We hope the other members of the county's official family will escape.
