The memorial tablet unveiling will be at the Court House Saturday at 11 o'clock with a procession to the school grove for addresses and dinner. Judge Henry Hammond and Major Henry C. A Tuesday afternoon gathering in the Court House discussed forming a chamber of commerce but decided not to form a permanent body until larger attendance. A follow up meeting is set for Friday at four o clock or after the hotel gathering.

A Day at Mt. Zion Revival Meeting
Last Wednesday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Rev. P. B. Lanham presided with Rev. Thomas Walker of Langley assisting and preaching two sermons. During intermission a generous dinner was served. Mrs. Mims and Mrs. Tillman urged women to form a mission society and a Sunbeam band for children, with Mrs. H Whitlock elected president, Mrs. Padgett vice president, and Mrs. Walker secretary.

Connie Maxwell Orphanage Visited by State Charity Secretary
The Connie Maxwell Orphanage near Greenwood, run by Baptist churches in South Carolina, hosted Secretary Williams of the State Board of Charities July 31, 1919. The facility houses 330 children in 14 cottage homes with a ten grade school and a strong emphasis on family life and cleanliness.
