Judge N G Evans of Edgefield adjourned the April terms of the court of common pleas yesterday afternoon after presiding two weeks in place of Judge George E Prince who cannot preside at this time. Evans will go to St Matthews on Monday to preside as special judge. Judge Fivans, who stayed here a week, left after a final weekend visit. A fish fry near Branchville entertained Evans Saturday night. Orangeburg correspondent notes Miss R C Tharin of Florence Crittenton Home aids in Charleston and Edgefield as a field worker and praises the charity’s work in prevention and rescue of young girls. The charity, endorsed by the State Board of Charities and Correction, will move to a new building to extend services. donations fund a major project.
