A Saturday night event featured prizes won by Eva Moultrie with Cadet Edens M and Katherine Campbell with Cadet Huggins, plus Maria Hill with Cadet Edens M. Myra Morris Lucia Williamson and Lessie Hutto served punch. Monday the local baseball team beat Trenton 5 to 6 in five innings with Cadet G H Burriss pitching nine strikeouts. The Curry Oratorical Contest crowned Cadet G W Huiet as best orator, with R E Snuggs second and C T Burnett third.
