Dixie Highway Surfacing Plan From Edgefield to Turkey Creek
The State Highway Commission sent plans for surfacing 8.42 miles of the Dixie Highway from Edgefield to Turkey Creek with top soil. The project includes a 50 foot pony truss bridge across Log Creek and aims to improve a key route to Greenwood and Greenville. Union Meeting of First Division at Mountain Creek
A large crowd attended the two day Union meeting at Mountain Creek with a strong mission focus. Rev. R G Lee preached the missionary sermon and led a successful, record mission offering of 198 dollars. Attendees enjoyed hospitality, honored soldiers, and heard reports from Edgefield and Mountain Creek participants. The next meeting location was announced as Bethany church for the June fifth Sunday.
