Data to Present Case on River Dams and Flood Control
The letter from J J Mansfield of Columbus Texas outlines a push to secure Reconstruction Finance Corporation support for completing river dam projects on the Colorado River. It argues dams like Hamilton would protect 270,000 acres from floods and allow irrigation for up to 500,000 acres, reducing repeated flood damage and enabling state or private action for flood control.
