Fragmented notes hint at hidden fortress and vaults
Descriptions of a modern fortress with water moats and impenetrable security devices appear amid a scattered draft. The piece notes underground vaults for hidden items and a roped-proof steel, photo-electric system intended to secure the structure. Interspersed are local social items about visitors and kin.

Deceased Candidate Wins Votes in Harris County Race
In Harris County a deceased candidate received thousands of votes nearly enough to defeat a successful opponent. The Texas primary shifts toward voting against opponents rather than for a candidate. The Dallas Journal notes the curiosity of how a dead man could garner 20 000 votes in a race. Marjory Walker departed Tuesday for Columbus to resume her petition in Texas.
