The Seventh grade organized the Lone Star Club with colors red white and blue and the song Texas Our Texas. New students Kathryn Lucille McGuire and Jesse Ibarra joined from Houston and Eagle Lake. A Friday pep rally featured Victory March by the band and a skit on going to the football game as coaches urged the Bulldogs to victory.
The band performed at the Ft Bend County Fair parade and later at a Flatonia football game. At halftime three features were presented with Sam Alvaredo and Leon Simank on cornet, a hot tenor sax solo by James Ricks, and a ceremonial E formed near the center. The group thanks Excel Smith for courtesy at Bob's Place and settling meals.
Freshman class held a party at Mrs. R T Westmoreland s home with a piano session led by Bill Hanly and a program led by Ann Trahan noting German pioneer days Columbus Day and the Columbus landing anniversary. The event included games and a supper menu of sandwiches pickles chips cookies fruit milk Coca Cola and Dr Pepper. Eagles Beat Bulldogs 32 to 6 at Eagle Lake with 255 rushing yards to 151 for Flatonia and a broken arm injury noted. Subscriptions updated from Corpus Christi and Bryan residents with moves to Houston and Calvin Oil Tool Corporation and Fort Bend County Fair attendance.
