Tornado strikes Bernard Prairie area in early hours
A twister hit the Bernard Prairie region around 5 am Monday causing major damage to outbuildings on the Beery Rabins farm. The Ouro Kramer barn and Herman Hein home suffered damage, and light hail appeared later in the day. Highway closures emerged from flooding, crops looked fine, and last week a lightning death in Fort Bend County was noted. Local events include an Icons Club luncheon at the former NYA dining room and meetings on water and sewer projects led by Henry Lions and others.
