Charley the Printer and a Town of Jokes in Pig I
A reminiscence from a Kansas country weekly editor describes Charley, a prankster printer. He spurred a clash with a former preacher county judge over a par graph about a wasp nest and later staged a comic impersonation that fooled Aunt Sallie, triggering laughter and near trouble. The tale ends with classic riddles about lice and the Sphinx, illustrating local humor and small town wit.
