Lunchroom Serves 80 000 Meals Since 1945 at Eagle Lake
The Eagle Lake Public School lunchroom began in February 1945 serving 80,869 meals to students and staff through 1948 47 with four periods of operation. Federal subsidies varied from nine to seven cents per meal milk and non milk, total student payments reached 16 243.37 while government additions totaled 5 430.60. Ada Wood leads the lunchroom overseeing nourishing, affordable meals funded by meals, subsidies, and surplus foods while stressing balanced nutrition.

Boys Boat Club Receives Donation to Build Boats
Westmoreland family contributed ten dollars to the Boys Boat Club to fund material for two boats to be placed on the pond for community children. The program already owns four boats and fifteen boys have used the pond this fall while grass, trees, and picnic sites are developed nearby. Young Aviator Killed In Crash Near Eagle Lake
A 12 year old aviator Ben H Crane was killed when a spray plane crashed near Eagle Lake while spraying fertilizer over rice fields. The body was sent to Cleveland Ohio for burial. Authorities and local residents expressed condolences to the family.

Registration of Motor Vehicles Nearing Deadline
