Constable A H Lee is seriously ill at his daughter Mrs. Jesse Adams home three miles from Ear. He was moved to his daughter's where every care and attention is being given him. Friends hope for his recovery. Local colored woman radio broadcaster Tormac Eante, like colored girls, gave a concert at the colored school building. Her home is now in Kan City.
Colorado county banks will be closed for five days in compliance with a governor’s proclamation issued in Austin. First National Bank of Eagle Lake directors considered opening but decided to stay closed after reading the order. Banks in Columbus and Weimar will also observe the closing, with state banks nationwide expected to receive notice from the Banking Commissioner.

Survivors include Wille Addie Cecil and Harvey Lee, his mother Mrs T N Graves of Adolphus, Kentucky, four brothers and two sisters. The community extends sympathy to the grieving family.

Family from South Dakota and Minnesota joined locals in paying final respects. The relatives thanked Headlight readers and Dec Pelton Lodge for support and offerings.
