James Adkins Named Pres State EUB Youth Leader

James Adkins of Lissie was named State President of the EUB Youth Fellowship at the State Assembly in Round Rock Texas. The 16 year old son of Mr and Mrs JL Adkins is a senior and has long served Christian leadership locally. Carolyn Conn an of Liste was chosen State Secretary and Jeanette Cruneys served as retiring president after leading the group.

A district restraining order directs Jaz Willis W to not interfere with Tennessee Gas Transmission Company employees servicing a pipeline across Nis land. Through yesterday shipments of watermelons from Jesse B. Martin of Wharton, raised by Charlie and Alister Sempra in the Chesterville region, reach the western and northern markets. Melons are large and bring good prices as shipments continue through the weekend and into next week. Most cargoes have been consigned to Kansas City for East distribution.

Harold L Williams will assume management of the Humble Service Station on Last Mein Street opposite Alamo Lumber Company Friday July 1. Williams, formerly of Shell service in Richmond, brings extensive experience. Alfred Marx, veteran operator of the station for three years, will devote full attention to his Humble Station one mile west of Eagle Lake. Certificates of Title For Motor Vehicles Cost 75c

Suspect Arrested in Glidden Robbery Case in Alabama

James Butond Barlow, 28, arrested in Mobile Alabama Thursday by county deputies and returned to Columbus County jail.
