Germination of Antonio's Texas Colony and Grant Return
A fragmented 19th century report describes James E. B. Austin and an American settler’s return to San Antonio after fifteen months. It notes his efforts to organize a colony, secure a congressional grant, and establish governance amid Mexican history events. The passage mentions illness, fever, and the Brazos area as key references, with subsequent details on settlers and family ties.
