Burglars Hit Cason Store in Matthews Oklahoma

Burglars entered the Maune Mercantile at Matthews owned by Mrs G M Cason last Wednesday night through a rear transom. They took about 30 pairs of Khali pants 69 cartons of cigarettes and some fruit cans. Sheriff J C Walkers office was notified early Thursday morning. They used 2x6 to pry out the bars. The store sits on Farm to Market Road 102 about five miles south of Sagle Lake.

Rice Harvest Underway With Belle Patna Rice

Harvest of Belle Patna rice is moving into full swing next week on the canal system. Harold Thomas completed combining 346 acres as the first parcel, with Mose Thomas and others expected to begin in the coming days.
