Wadsworth Collects Confederate Archives for University Library
Albert H. Wadsworth of Bay City has deposited a large archive at the University of Texas Library. The collection includes Confederate money and manuscripts, maps of Matagorda from 1835, Matagorda Railroad subscriber records, stage fare accounts, and papers of Galen Hodges and other family members dating 1039 to 1807. Photostatic copies of house papers for the election and Matagorda Gazette issues are among items slated for university use.
