Garwood reports a busy week with bridge club entertainment, church and garden club meetings, plus social visits and family news. Funeral services were held Thursday for C. H. Radack 84 of San Antonio retired Southern Pacific engineer. Burial at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. Surviving are three sons a daughter 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Birdis Dawson an early Eaute Lake settler died January 2 in Houston at 8 30 am He was the eldest son of Joe Dawson of Matthews and lived with his niece Odear Pettus in Eagle Lake He leaves a brother Coy Dawson a sister Bertha Dawson Columbus and many nieces nephews and friends Ella Bert Carlton of Los Angeles attended funeral services at Mt Olive Baptist Church at 1 40 pm Thursday
The ASC notes signups for the 1966 Cotton Program run January 24 through April 1. Operators must sign an agreement to participate and divert acres unless eligible for the small farm provision.
