Notables include Von Heeder, Knapp, Kubesch, Cranek, and Pinchback families with relatives from Houston, El Campo, Wharton, and San Antonio. The piece records weddings anniversaries, baptisms, study trips, and holiday dinners across local households.
The Christ Episcopal Church annual parish meeting approved the 1962 budget and elected vestry members including Gene Burton David and Harold Schick of El Campo. Guests included W M Wilbeck family and others. A turkey ham dinner followed. Relatives attended funerals in Victoria for two cousins and an aunt.
Recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. 5. G. Penes ard family include Mr. and Mrs. R. Gene Carey of Tucson Arizona Pat Patterson of Biqua Ohio and Roger Sittle of Sidney Otio. The Tillbrook family from Norfolk Virginia arrived last week to visit their relatives. Wade Boxx came from Missouri to visit My and Mrs Dan Hooper and civil family. New Year’s guests were Mr and Mrs FH L Drake and Mr and Mrs LW Bend of Houston.
J L Mc Creary of Eagle Lake and Pete Rivera of Garwood were elected delegates to represent Christ Church at the 15th Annual Council of the Diocese of Texas in Houston on January 23, 24 and 25. Outgoing officers Harold Thomas and David Wintermann are named. Elected were F M Dromgoale, J L Mc Creary, Pete Rivera Jr, and Gardner Duncan with alternates R H Wells, Jc. David Wintermann, W J E Lenhart, and Ter Wardell.
