Garwood School Board invites bids for three campus buildings including a 2900 sq ft cafeteria a 1800 sq ft building with baths and a single room 14 by 28 foot vocational agricultural classroom. Bids due January 18 1964. Successful bidder must move each building within fourteen days of notice.
A year end message extends thanks for kindness and love shown during the year with wishes for blessings in the new year. Mr and Mrs Leon Wood of Oklahoma City visited his mother Mrs Ada Stehl and Mr Stehl during the Yuletide season and returned home last Thursday.
Sealed proposals to be received by the Commissioners Court of Colorado County Texas for one new 1964 model Ford Galaxie Plymouth Fury Chevrolet Bel Air or comparable car with specific heavy duty features and a 1961 Bel Air trade in. The Eagle Lake Woman's Home Demonstration Club held its Christmas party at Mrs. Glen Sunderman's home and installed officers for the coming year. Twelve members and guests attended, with a program including a slide of a Christmas story, refreshments, and gift exchanges. The club will be renamed The Friendship Club with officers Mrs. Alvin Glueck president and others. A future meeting January 9 will focus on making cancer dressings.

Rock Island residents welcomed a wide circle of visitors over the holidays. Additional gatherings brought in the Baker, Moore, Moss, Stock, Speck, DeFoor, and Tipple families from cities like Atlanta Cleveland Dallas Austin Bryan Livingston and Louisiana for Yuletide celebrations with local relatives.

Mrs Ho E Burger thanked guests for visiting during holidays as Rev A A Didner and his sisters of Temple joined the festivities with other relatives from Westphalia and Columbus.
Miss Lillie Bass of Schulenburg visited Friday and Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Drew Sheil, according to social notes in the local column.

Girndt and family, Alpert Wied of El Campo, Larene Pouncty of Houston, and Richard Lemley of Corpus Christi visiting Otis Pouncey and family during the past week.
