The accident occurred Sunday night while Carpenter, a son of the Trans Power & Light Co president, was en route from Corsicana with family members. Funeral services were held Tuesday.
The Wharton county Negro training school at Wharton was destroyed early today by a fire of undetermined origin. Betts valued the bulk at 1000000, with total loss about 20000 and building insured for 10000. Because the building lay outside city limits no fire wires were available, delaying firefighting. Board of trustees met Sunday to plan a temporary arrangement until a new building is constructed.
Ailing Palocek of Forter Villas of Colorado died between Benly and Wallis on December 18. Funeral services and burial were planned for Sealy Cemetery. Survived by husband, children Ammo OF Mix vite and Mes, Herbert Veckert of Sealy, five brothers Joe Wrneel Alvin Er Austrol Bewint Glueck and five sisters, Mrs Trev man Sens, Mrs Adolph Zuskoeks, Augusta, Cecelia and Theresa Glueck.
