Fragmented heirs named in Civil War era land suit

A long list of heirs and legal representatives is named in a 1948 writ related to a land dispute in Colorado County Texas. The case, I. H. Kempner et al. v The Sugarland Industries et al., seeks to quiet title to about 4717 acres described in the Colorado Operating Company deed records and asserts decades of adverse possession and tax payments by plaintiffs and those under them. The writ was issued by District Court Clerk W. Papenberg.
