Walla defeats Hansteiner for re election as age in precincts
County commissioner Philip Kansteiner of Precinct No. 3 loses re election in a run off to Wille Walla. Walla polled 374 votes in the precincts and 481 overall, a 107 vote margin. Kansteiner led the July primary with 285 to Walla 222. Balloting by precinct shows Kansteiner winning some precincts while Walla carried most.
