Happiness Rules for a Balanced Life from a 1920s Fragment
A fragment essay advocates happiness through silence, self-analysis, rest, self-control, balance, reading, generosity, work, self-pity avoidance, and a fixed purpose. It warns against extremes, notes mental and physical strain, and urges purposeful living. It also references a period gold reserve report and a light obituary-like mention of family visits and a lighthearted misprint about ice cream shipments.
