Eagle Lake volunteers had a slow night last Monday but plan their next monthly business meeting. They urge residents to prepare for hot weather by wiring phones for extra load for fans and air conditioners and to help prevent fires at all times.
Sealed proposals addressed to the Commissioners Court of Colorado County Texas will be received at the County Judge's office in Columbus for furnishing equipment including dump trucks and rollers. Bids must be accompanied by a 60 percent bid bond. The court reserves the right to waive technicalities and reject any or all bids, per order dated April 8 1968. County Judge Charles D Ruita reports the Alamo Area Tuberculosis Association mobile X ray unit will visit Colorado County on June 15 and 17 with stations in Eagle Lake and Columbus Court House Square times and fees listed. The unit aims at all residents over 14 with children tested and follow ups by physicians if needed. The Alamo Area association, led by Dr Jack A Bergfeld and Harold L Wincriter, covers 20 counties with Rut ta and Mrs Berla Yates on its board.
