The Eagle Lake law enforcement committee met April 14 1949 and agreed on strict enforcement of stop signs no double parking speed limits and U turn bans with minimum penalties of 5 to 6 dollars. Stop signs were installed on key streets and intersections and enforcement was to begin after a short suspension.
