The Eagle Lake community reports a Texas University vs Chicago White Sox exhibition with seven home runs, noting Howard Fitzgerald's two homers and his planned tryout with the Philadelphia Athletics. Local notes mention the Southern Pacific park plans, a golden wedding, deaths, marriages, school trustee elections, a wolf kill, road work, jokes and anecdotes, and a veteran newspaper man recalling past writers and pay for literary work.
