Death of Andrew Husketh in Edgemont at 16
Andrew Husketh died last night on Morning Glory Avenue Edgemont after months of declining health. He was sixteen and survived by his parents and other relatives. Funeral services were held Thursday at 3 p m from the home and his remains were laid to Maplewood Cemetery with Rev T F Haney presiding.

Bond for Blockading Dorsett Case Heard in Court
Mewton Dorsett, 66, of several miles north of the city, had a preliminary hearing before United States Commissioner Moye on Wednesday morning. He was sent to the federal court under bond of $100 and discharged. A still was found on his property near the hog pen, and Eugene Dorsett was arrested soon after. The mother of Eugene, wife of the man, was ill and died days earlier, with a death notice published in the Recorder. The elder Dorsett remained at large until Wednesday.

Kidnapper Blows Out Brains as Arrest Looms in Norfolk
In Norfolk Virginia Joshua Harrison, awaiting extradition on a kidnapping charge involving Kenneth Beasley, shot himself in his hotel room after a warning telegram from North Carolina authorities. He died at St Vincent's Hospital. His wife and daughter insisted on his innocence.
