Desperado Burrows Shot Dead After Jail Break
Rube Burrows, famed Georgia train robber and killer, was killed at Linden Alabama after seizing his captors pistols and escaping custody. In a brief gunfight he killed J C Carter and wounded John Marshall before both Burrows and Carter died. The body was sent to Lamar county for burial as the express company counts losses from his crimes.
