John T. Weaver Dead in Orange County
John T. Weaver died at his home in Orange County last Wednesday at 10 am after a battle with stomach cancer. He had been treated at Watts Hospital and was buried at his home near Chapel Hill. He leaves six children including R. H. Weaver, chief engineer for the Durham Traction Company, and H. C. Weaver, plus three daughters.

Negro Convict Henry Johnson Escapes from State Farm
State prison authorities issued notice of the escape of Henry Johnson a 29 year old colored man from Sampson County who broke into a house and is believed to be at large near Tillery North Carolina. A reward of 25 dollars plus expenses is offered for his capture and return.
