A white man named J. G. Jordan was ordered to quit town by 8 AM and again by the morning. When he refused, he was taken from A. M. Rigsbee’s store at 10 AM and carried away in a carriage, then returned after persuasion by J. Partch and others to avoid further action. The incident involved threats to escort him to the corporate house if he did not depart. Jordan had been a Radical candidate for township constable and the note mentions funds to move his family to Boston, Massachusetts.

Also advertised for female irregularities and life changes, with easy intake and no diet restrictions. Sold by druggists at 50 cents per bottle from the Atlanta Georgia company.
Advertises Botanic Balm as the leading blood purifier since its release. Promises perpetual customer satisfaction and states it outsells all rivals in the market. Notes representatives Oncanvo Fra and Jane Ist 1887 as part of the branding.
A Tennessee reader cites Coca Wine restoring his wife’s health after years of dyspepsia hysteria constipation and insomnia. Dr C A Styles of Atlanta endorses the remedy and a user reports French Wine Coca aiding mental strain and nervous headaches amid typhoid fever era context.
