About 150 veterans left Durham for Richmond Wednesday morning with others joining in Henderson en route. Robert Farrar appeared before the mayor for assault with a deadly weapon and was bond bound over to court for 25 dollars. Marriage plans announced for J. C. Miss Weaver, daughter of John T. Weaver, remains ill after a terrible hail storm. She witnessed her mother collapse during the storm while Mrs Weaver escaped injury entering the house. The storm left four to five inch hail, broken window lights, destroyed crops, and damaged barns and outbuildings in the area reported by the Chapel Hill News.
