Mrs H C Harris aged sixty nine died unexpectedly after dinner at her son’s home on Fayetteville road from acute indigestion. Funeral held in Moncure, Chatham county, with remains shipped that night. She leaves two sons J B Harris and J E Harris. Mr Wesdaia senor aged 18 died after months long illness with consumption. He was son of G W Duke and survived by three brothers and two sisters. Burial at Woolford’s Sanitary. Reverend J H McCracken officiating.

County commissioners awarded the Boxboro road bridges contract to Carolina Construction of Burlington. Plans updated favor a concrete structure with pillars and floor-way over Little River and Mountain Creek, replacing earlier steel design. Estimated total cost around seven thousand dollars for two separate bridges, a departure from the prior ten to twelve thousand dollar range.

Young child Junius Crabtree Dies at Home
The nine month old Junius Crabtree, son of Mr and Mrs Sam A Crabtree, died Wednesday afternoon at their Randolph street home. Funeral held Tuesday at 2 from the home. In Orange county, Rev W C Barrett tied the knot for John H Blackwood of Blackwood NC and Miss Lizzie A Weaver of Chapel Hill at the Second Baptist parsonage on Tuesday at 7:30 in a quiet ceremony before they left for Wilmington. Blackwood is a prosperous Orange county farmer and Weaver a county teacher.
